The Macchiaroli Castle, in the city-museum of Teggiano in the center of Vallo di Diano, built during the Norman period, is one of the most important in Southern Italy. It belonged to the princes of Sanseverino and has been home to important historical events such as the Conjure of the Barons in 1485. Subsequently over the centuries its role changed from a belligerent fortress to a quiet feudal residence, with various owners until 1860 when, the monumental structure was purchased by the Macchiarolis, a family that still owns it.

Today, after important restoration works that made possible to restore its ancient war paths and revive the majesty of its towers, it’s been enriched in furnishings and decorations with an elegant and refined style, making it an ideal setting for weddings and parties. Furthermore, thanks to its spacious outdoor and indoor spaces where you can enjoy the delicacies of our chefs, it is an ideal venue for concerts, theater events, conferences, congresses and cultural events.

Its atmosphere will make you experience the magic of other times and our warmth and attention will give you unforgettable moments.
